In the mid 1940's, when Eileen first joined Coventry Cycling Club, other members were quick to realise they were witnessing the arrival of a young lady with an unusual ability. Within just two years their new member was setting the roads alight and becoming their very own local and National Hero. Eileen, although diminutive in stature was blessed with a giant sized ability and a demeanor to go with it; always encouraging and inspiring all those around her. Eileen's cycling achievements are internationally well recorded elsewhere, but to us the members of the three C's, she will always be remembered as our very friendly, approachable President who would always be there at our Open Events and Annual Dinner to present the Clubs Trophies.
